A Legacy of Defense

Chekasha Ramsey has built a career defending the accused and championing civil liberties. She most recently served as Branch Chief and Assistant Federal Public Defender for the District of Kansas, where she managed attorneys and staff in the Kansas City office. Prior to that, she held roles as an Assistant Public Defender in Missouri and a Legal Program Coordinator for the ACLU of Kansas and Western Missouri. From high-profile federal cases to community-centered advocacy, her legal practice has been marked by fearless trial advocacy, compassionate client counseling, and sharp legal strategy.
